Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at the Hindusthan, I found myself both captivated and disappointed. As an architect, I appreciate design, and the hotel’s central location certainly has potential. The atrium café offers a comfortable space, serving breakfast with a variety of options that reflect local flavors, but the overall dining experience left much to be desired. I dined at the on-site restaurant, hopeful for memorable culinary innovation. While the ambiance was inviting, the food pricing felt mismatched for the experience provided. I expected a more refined presentation given the five-star rates, yet the dishes fell short, seeming more typical than exceptional. I encountered significant issues with room comfort; the air conditioning malfunctioned, leading to an uncomfortable night and the need for two technician visits. The room itself did not meet my expectations in cleanliness, nor did it justify the rate exceeded INR 7000. All in all, while my interactions with the staff were cordial, I left feeling that both the accommodations and culinary offerings needed a more thoughtful approach.
